First, it is a promotion that is only good for the current version of 1Password which means that when 1Password is updated those promo licenses will not be eligible.
Also, the promo licenses will not eligible for the upcoming my1Password beta or the my1Password service after the beta.
So it is a special limited license. You are better off with your current license.
