Get Rid of Windows Media Player for Mac!

Windows Media Player for Mac is awful -- period. It stalls while streaming, one cannot scan easily through files, it can't play certain WMA streams, and it hasn't been updated in ages. It seems a third party company has done what MS should have done from the beginning -- simply release a WMV/WMA codec for Quicktime. Here it is:

I purchased the $9 player, and it works flawlessly. Even imbedded WMV and WMA content opens up in Quicktime's plugin. Download the trial and see for yourself.

Totally ecstatic to be rid of WMP for Mac.

This player has alot of problems.. just download it and installed it. most sites are not supported. eg( CNN.com - movies.com - etcccccc.

Don't use either, so wouldn't know.

‪I think based on my experiance with WMP that there are no problems with streaming as much as there with permanent downloaded media.

‪As for me, i think i'm gona start converting a more than 5 years WMVs.

BTW, the new version of WMV works fine with CNN.com and other similar sites. Be sure to restart the computer after you install the new version or you won't have any sound (not sure why).
