Intel's New Chips

Cnet reports on Intel's road maps which were discussed at the Intel Developer's Forum today.
...the dominant theme revolves around reducing power consumption, a concept the company has hammered on since the beginning of the decade.

The newer architecture pushing the higher performance per watt appears to be targeted in late 2006. In the meanwhile, Intel has other chips coming to fill the gap in late 2005/early 2006.

Notebooks:
Yonah - notebook chip. 1st half of 2006.
Merom - notebook chip coming in the second half of 2006. 5 watts (vs 22 in today's chips)

Desktops:
Presler - Desktop chip based on Pentium 4 line. 1st half of 2006.
Conroe - Desktop counterpart to Merom. Late 2006. up to 65 watts. (vs 95)

Servers:
Paxville - late 2005. Dual core.
Woodcrest - Server processor, up to 80 watts. (vs 110)

The newly announced chips (Meron, Conroe and Woodcrest) aimed at late 2006 will utilize the new architecture (65-nm) to replace the aging Pentium 4 architecture. Apple anticipates their first Intel-based Macs to start shipping in 2006 and the transition to be complete by the end of 2007.

I'm a slow typer in arabic. if one of you guys who claims that they can teach english can translate my articles for the rest of the forum users.

g funk you post very cool topics but as the gang said tons of our readers do not read English and your topics are very hot.If your topic not good no body will give S#it
I am very slow arabic typer too, actually my keyboard is US
but some time for the sake of others i type in arabic and it takes ages from me to do so

Same thing with me . My keybord is a US keyboard. so i have to guess which arabic letter sits where . besides that . I'm a very slow typer in arabic. so i would appreciate it if any of you who are fast typers in arabic and fleuent in english to help translate my posts.

do you think any of the our list member can do this ? Majority of us got our profession and we wish we were free so as to make this Forum real more active and life.

I didn't say t hat you have to do it.. and i didn't even say that everybody is free. me too. I'm busy up to my nose that i don't have time to translate for people who cannot learn english !!!

No body ask you to translate to Arabic !!

I think you need to learn your mother language !!

Just write in Arabic .. that is what we want from you and from other members !!
