I would not agree with this article at all.
The writter is assuming tings only and build his measures on historical events.

I remember that one day Apple had let some companies to copy their platforms once and it did not workout. I remeber Umax did that.

Also, He says that iPod success is related to enabling windows users to take advantage. That's right but also that nice iPod is the product that made many PC users to question Apple's existance.

I know alot who moved to OS X platform when they saw how easy and fun is the iPod.

I know that some even bought the MacMini just to feel the Apple's touches.

It is fairly easy to just sit back and keep on running senarios just like what if Microsoft bought Apple or shall i say an Apple? Imagine that, Mr. Bill gates and the rest of the Microsoft board members discussing the issue of buying an Apple, there are of course many factors to consider
1- Color of the Apple
2- Weigh and shape
3- Degree of ripeness
4- Purpose
5- Time of purchase
6- Price and tax
7- who should buy it and how
8- What part number to use
9 who's gonna eat it or shall we share it
10 Is it true that an Apple a day keeps the PC away?

As you can see free thinking costs nothing, probably that's why they call it free

but as it could happen or not, why not, it might happen what who cares, by the time this happenes maybe Apple the company is not what we know now, or maybe a better computer is out that makes Apple look like Microsoft to us now, Relax guys
