iChat bounces but wont work - Help

<div align='left'></div>Hi, i bought MaBook Pro last few days, and upgrade it directly to leopard version, i had a problem with iChat, I click on the iChat logo in my dock, and it will bounces twice then stops, but nothing appears on the screen the tool bar changes to ichat but most of the featchers are disabled (cant be selected), and all i can do is force quit and try again hope it will work, i have updated my mac and the problem still exist, can anyone help me on how to solve this issue

Fix your disk permissions
try running the installer again

trash ichat prefs and restart the app.
